Landscape Achitecture: ORCA

A study in texture and creativity, we were tasked to create an elegant Mallorcan- inspired retreat from a run down, tiny Spanish home in Echo Park. We leaned into timeless materials with cobblestone and terrracotta tiles which join the exterior passageways and deck to the sunroom. To add dimension and detail to the small kitchen, we installed decorative beams in the kitchen and sunroom, which feel as if they have been there all along. Plaster and limewash bring warmth and tie together the kitchen and bathroom.
